Training
We have been an established ‘Training Practice’ since 2001 and Dr Sylvia Conner is the GP Trainer. It is the philosophy of the Practice team to fully support the GP Registrar throughout their training year within a learning environment that promotes open discussion and active participation in all aspects of General Practice. Patients have given positive feedback to their experience of consulting with a GP Registrar.

GP Registrars

The dedicated GP Registrar’s room is spacious and has unobtrusive video equipment for recording consultations. We also have a comprehensive Training Room and Library.

F2 Training
Riverside Medical Centre has expressed an interest in developing the Training Practice further by taking on F2 Doctors from August 2006.

Practice Nurses
The Nurses are qualified trainers who are regularly involved with the training of Student Nurses, who spend up to four weeks with us for their community based practice placement, and qualified Nurses, who are undertaking further courses, especially family planning, sexual health and cervical cytology. They also continue with their own professional education to ensure that their knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date.
